Airport of Palermo “Falcone Borsellino” (40 min by bus from city center, bus run every 30 min at the price of ca. 6 € one-way), Catania airport (2.5 h – 220 km from Palermo City center, bus run every 60 min at the price of ca. 14 € one-way), Trapani airport (1 h by bus from city center). This conference will offer the following Awards:

  • David Dollimore ESTAC Award”: the National Associations related to ESTAC13 are invited to nominate a distinguished scientist that worked in Europe (in any European country including those that do not have National Associations for TA&C, but excepting Italy and Italian citizens that worked before inside or outside Italy) at least in the last 5 years (or in the last 5 years prior to his/her retirement), with less than 12 months spent outside Europe in this last period, the nominees have to be Emeritus Professors or Researchers, which currently are above 65 years old (still in activity or retired).

The nomination must include: Recommendation letter signed by the President of the National Association, CV of the nominated person, List

of publications of the nominated person, when sent to: giuseppe.lazzara@unipa.it and andrei.rotaru@edu.ucv.ro

  • Eugen Segal ESTAC Award”: the National Associations related to ESTAC13 are invited to nominate a well-recognized scientist working in Europe (in any European country including those that do not have National Associations for TA&C, but excepting Italy and Italian citizens working inside or outside Italy) at least since 1st of January 2017 (with less than 12 months spent outside Europe

between 1st of January 2017 and 11st of March 2022). For the “Eugen Segal Award” the nominees have to be between 40 and 65 years (at

31st of March 2022). The nomination must include: Recommendation letter signed by the President of the National Association, CV of the

nominated person, List of publications of the nominated person, when sent to: giuseppe.lazzara@unipa.it and andrei.rotaru@edu.ucv.ro

  • Judit Simon ESTAC Award”: the National Associations related to ESTAC13 are invited to nominate a well-recognized scientist working in Europe (in any European country including those that do not have National Associations for TA&C, but excepting Italy and Italian citizens working inside or outside Italy) at least since 1st of January 2017 (with less than 12 months spent outside Europe

between 1st of January 2017 and 1st of March 2022). For the “Judit Simon Award” the age limit is 40 years (at 31st of March 2022). The nomination must include: Recommendation letter signed by the President of the National Association, CV of the nominated person, List of publications of the nominated person, when sent to: giuseppe.lazzara@unipa.it and andrei.rotaru@edu.ucv.ro

Jose Criado Award for Innovation & Promoting of Thermal Analysis”: Will be nominated and announced by the

ESTAC executive board.
